Some of you may or may not know that our dear Sophie is more that just a guitarist, responsible person and amazing friend, but also a very talented fashion designer. She has the qualifications, the experience and has even shown in Paris as one of the finalists in the Lancome Colour & Design Awards (though she’ll likely blush if you ask her about any of these achievements).

In our first collaborative foray, where Sophie contributes the hard work and I contribute the vibe, she’s creating a piece for me to wear at our Flowerpot show tomorrow.

So far 2010 has been one of many firsts for me. My first real winter of snow, sleet and icy bite-your-face-off winds. My first snow-related injury, which resulted in me spending a couple of days in Paris in a faux-sling. My first New Years not to include some kind of obnoxious fireworks display. And my very first proper Fashion Week.

If you frequent the many fashion sites and blogs on the information super highway, much has already been said. So just really quickly here are a few highlights because:
a) There are a million better fashion writers than I (Cathy Horyn, Style.com, Suzy Menkes, Susie Bubble, WWD.com et al)

We are excited to present along with Back Yard Recordings, some mid week excitement in the form of CEREMONY. Starting Wednesday February 10 and following each week thereafter, we’ll be taking to the decks at The Parlour, Sketch along with some special guests to play you anything and everything you can dance to.

Expect everything from left-field disco to hip hop to power ballads to kraut rock to rave to our personal favourite Bollywood theme songs. No decade is off limits as long as it is worthy of dancing or heartfelt singing!

Our special guest DJ on February 10 is the lovely Leanne Bellman. Do join us for a night of cocktail fuelled dance floor mayhem.

Happy New Year friends! Hope 2010 has been delightful for you so far.

We’ve been busy hibernating against the snow, preparing for the release of our debut album, which will be out in a couple of months. Above is a visual representation of the album from our mastering session with the wonderful John Davis.

But lets not get ahead of ourselves, first we unleash our newest single Peter Pan. It’ll be out on 7″ vinyl and digital download in early March, but you can give it and the very lovely kraut inspired remix by The Horrors a spin below.

Salutations dear friends,

We’ve spent the past couple of weeks rolling around the place, hitting up Glasgow, Edinburgh, Liverpool and Nottingham. It’s been quite a riot. We’ve enjoyed meeting those who came down to the shows and catching up on some cinema classics (Beetle Juice and Cliffhanger amongst other visual delights). This weekend sees us heading to Bournemouth for an Adventures in the Beetroot Field presented show on Saturday November 28 and celebrating Miska’s birthday (a day early) with an afternoon dj set at Spent, Camden Lock Tavern on Sunday November 29. Hope you are able to make it to either, if not party on with us in spirit!
